Built within the rainforest as it meets the silver ocean strand, you would hardly know Pimalai was there. The luxury beach resort occupies 100 acres of tropical vegetation with direct access to a 900 meters stretch of pristine sandy beach and offers 121 accommodation units - Deluxe, Bayfront Deluxe, Pavillion Suite, Beach Villa and Pool Villa - all very elegantly appointed.


From the mainland, it takes about 1 hour by the resort boat to reach Koh Lanta and Pimalai but it is worth bearing this "hardstrip" in order to find such a unique lost paradise in tourist Thailand... Visit once and you will return again and again... 


ACCOMMODATION
Great thoughts have been placed by the architects in the resort lay out, ensuring that the contrast between architectural space and the lush embrace of nature is inspirational. The little buildings of southern Thai style design complete this natural environment allowing guest to be as close to nature as they wish.

Speaking the language of contemporary Thai design, the rooms, suites and villas are exquisitely appointed with tropical polished wooden floors, bamboo blinds and dark wood furniture, finding the ideal balance between modern calm and exotic luxury. 

Deluxe, Bay Front Deluxe, Pavilion Suites 

Deluxe Room : 64 units
Rooms are spacious with a minimum of 48 square meters including your own private balcony overlooking great landscapes. All are air-conditioned and feature a polished teak wood floor, rattan curtains, rich Thai fabric and are equipped with either a king size or twin beds.

The bathroom either opens onto the bedroom or overlooks the garden. Very well appointed, it features a bathtub, a separate walk-in shower and toilets. 		 
     
Bay Front Deluxe Room : 4 units
The bedroom offers a great living space with polished teak wood floor, rich Thai cotton upholstery, rattan curtains and Siamese artefacts.

A large bathroom with double vanity basins, separate walk-in shower and toilets; featured in this bathroom is a bathtub set behind a large window offering partial views of the bay and the garden.
     
Pavilion Suite : 7 units
All suites' master bedroom have a king-size bed and offer refined Thai style interior design with polished teak wood floor, rattan curtains and Siamese artefacts.

In the Pavilion Suite Two Bedrooms, the second bedroom is equipped with twin beds and features an oversized bathroom with double vanity basins and a bathtub overlooking a private manicured garden equipped with an open-air shower.
     
The second bedroom is well detached from the master bedroom and living room building and therefore offers complete privacy to its occupants. The oversized bathroom
of the Pavilion suite features double vanity basins, inside separate walk-in shower and toilets, and a bathtub overlooking a small manicured garden also equipped with an open-air shower.

The Beach Villas Three Bedrooms With a living space of approximately 650 square meters and decorated in a classy contemporary Thai style, the Beach Villa Three Bedrooms consists of 3 air conditioned bedrooms with large bathrooms equipped with outdoor bathtub.

The Beach Villas Two Bedrooms are set within a landscaped garden and facing the sea. With a living space of about 350 square meters and decorated in a classy contemporary Thai style, these Villas consists of 2 air-conditioning bedrooms with large bathrooms equipped with outdoor bathtub.

The Beach Villas One Bedroom are set within a landscaped garden and facing the sea. Their living space including the outdoor wooden deck is approximately 150 square meters.

Each Villa has a total living area of 204 sqm built on a piece of hilly land ranging from 700 to 1000sqm approximately. Spacious, elegant and unpretentious in their architectural design, they provide commanding views of Ba Kan Tiang bay and the surrounding lush tropical forest.

The villa consists of a master bedroom facing the bay; featured in the adjacent large bathroom is a "rain-shower" and a large bathtub set behind a window panel
overlooking the bay. The bedroom opens onto a spacious sundeck featuring a private 5,5 x 3 meters infinity edge swimming pool and a Thai sala allowing private Spa
treatment whenever needed.

The nearby kitchenette will allow you if you wish to prepare your favorite meal or snack. Across the sundeck, the spacious living room opens onto a balcony
terrace and is equipped with elegant furniture, TV and CD's/DVD's components. The existing sofa bed can be converted into a bed for visiting friend who will also be
provided with privacy with the adjacent bathroom equipped with shower, vanity basin and toilets.


Some of the Villas are designed with 2 bedrooms offering a living space of 279 sqm, or 3 bedrooms offering then a living space of 422sqm.

Baan Pimalai Restaurant
The main restaurant offers an outdoor dining area with sweeping views of the resort's infinity-edge swimming pool, the landscaped gardens and the bay. A great breakfast buffet is served daily whilst lunch and dinner "a la carte" menus offer both Thai and Western dining choices.


Spice 'N Rice Thai Restaurant
This air-conditioned Thai restaurant offers classic Thai food dining. Authentic around Thailand fare and traditional favourites such as 'Tom Yum Goong', are prepared with the freshest ingredients, artfully presented and full of flavour.


The Seven Seas Wine Bar and Restaurant
This restaurant provides a sea view that is unparalleled and an elegantly styled facility that is unbeatable. The restaurant and its show kitchen offers a comprehensive "a la carte" fusion style dinner menu which means that superior ingredients from all over the globe are marinated, cooked and served together on the same plate - generating a symphony of flavours in perfect harmony.

A wide-ranging collection of international wines has been assembled from which you can select an ideal accompaniment to your meal.


Rak Talay Beach Bar and Restaurant
This bar and restaurant, is located right on the beach, nestled beneath towering trees from where guest can take in the sweeping views of the Andaman Sea and gentle southern breezes. The menu features casual light snacks, including salads, pasta pizzas and great sandwiches. In the evenings guest can choose from an abundant array of fresh, succulent seafood caught locally. The Infinity Pool at The Resort
A stunning 35-meters long refreshing fresh-water infinity-edge swimming pool is waiting for you to swim, float or enjoy the invigoration of the Jacuzzi jets in an attached pavilion; or perhaps you would prefer to lie on one of the sun-loungers under the palm trees while you enjoy the sea view, read a book, order a refreshment... or perchance to dream.

Even more stunning! And even longer! Set some 50-meters above sea level, the infinity-edge pool offers an unrivalled 180 degree view of the bay below; you may want to just relax and enjoy the spectacular surroundings or if you enjoy exercising then several 50 meters laps will definitely keep you fit!

Kayak and Canoe
Imagine, sitting in the middle of a lagoon, cloaked in darkness, not a whisper to be heard, far away from humanity, time stop and your mind clears.

Sailing
Available free of charge, are sea kayaks, windsurfs, sailing boat and boogie boards. There are no motorized water sports (jet skis, water ski) available on the island.

Tennis Court
Our 2 tennis courts and equipment are available free of charge for those who enjoy active sports (Courts lights are at extra charge).

Cycling
Bicycles are available at the resort with our compliments. A brand new 8 kms road has now been completed slicing through the existing jungle; up, down with some great view points; you may also encounter the sight of monkeys and huge lizards.

Pool Bar
An informal spot for refreshing drinks and light snacks whilst sunbathing around our stunning infinity-edge swimming pool.

Fitness Room
The Fitness Room features small gym functions with high quality fitness equipments to either relax or power up yourself. The gym equipment includes, Lifecycle upright bike, Stair climber, Life fitness 3 stack multi-gyms, Adjustable Incline bench, Twin tier dumbbell rack and a treadmill; the 900 meters long beach and the newly concreted road that slices through the tropical vegetation are also ideal training grounds!!

Spa
The seven treatment huts equipped with double or single beds are mainly used for aromatherapy massages and body wraps or body scrub treatments. An imposing open-air pavilion standing at the bottom of the small valley is home to the Thai traditional massage whilst just across, the outdoor Jacuzzi with the adjacent herbal sauna just awaits for you to dip in, refresh and cleanse your body before your selected treatment.

Library and Internet Room
The Library Room, adjacent to the resort shop, has an extensive selection of reading materials as well as computers with Internet access so guests can keep in touch with their family and friends. There are many books on Krabi province and Thailand, and on various aspects of Thai arts, culture and history. A choice of CD's and DVD's is also available free of charge for your own entertainment in your room.

Telecommunication Services
We have several internet facilities at the resort and you will be pleased to know that we provide this service "Free of Charge." Pimalai provides internet connection at both Library Lounges that are located at the Pool Villas' estate and at the Resort.

For guest traveling with a personal notebook, we have equipped all rooms, suites and villas with a Local Area Network (LAN) cable that will allow you to connect with internet.












The resort has also further equipped itself with wireless connection at the Resort's Lobby bar and at the resort pool area, so you may connect to your friends or family whilst enjoying a magnificent view. Although many of our guests come to Pimalai in order "to get away from it all" for others maintaining contact with the "outside world" is important and essential. As well as offering internet communication, free of charge, the Resort is equipped to handle GSM (Global System for Mobile)
